Glencoe Elopement, Marc & Sara

I spent the most beautiful, wild & windy day with Marc, Sara, and their sweet wee boy as they tied the knot in Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most beautiful locations!

These two have such a beautiful love, it was just a joy to witness and to capture. They also just fully embraced the elements and all that Scotland has to offer which is always such a wonderful feeling as a photographer to be able to capture people completely carefree and embracing all parts of their day.

I met them at their gorgeous airbnb in Fort William, and captured them getting ready before their wonderful celebrant Paula arrived. We then realised that nobody had brought any ties for the handfasting ceremony but luckily I had an old blanket from The Tartan Blanket Company in the boot of the car (which has seen many wild and wet elopements - perhaps this was an omen for what was to come!) and I brought that in so that Paula could cut it up and create some hand fasting ribbons for their ceremony!

We then headed out to the grounds of the airbnb (no need to go any further as it was just surrounded by the most stunning mountains) for their ceremony. They laughed and cried their way through their vows and it was so special to hear Paula tell their love story.

Once the ceremony was finished, we headed out to Glencoe valley and this is where the storm hit!! The heavens erupted into torrential rain and wind, but Marc & Sara were unfazed and ran out into the storm for their couples portraits. It was so much fun and such a creative experience for all of us, I just love the way the images came out!

Here are a few of my favourites from the day. I was working alongside my incredible husband Matt who filmed the day too, you can watch him film here - definitely check it out :)
